Art rotation

Yesterday on Thursday. We did art and drawings. There were nine types of drawing that we drew at certain times. It was Manga, Cartoon, Pixel and Bunnies, Manga and Cartoon were my favourite ones. Manga is when we drew people of Anime like Naruto or Dragon Ball. But we didn't do characters from anime shows, NO NO NO NO we drew random people. We can choose between three drawings, A boy, A girl and a Panda Bear. I (of course) drew the Panda Bear suit which was worn by a baby or a small child, I drew PHENOMENALLY. Pixel was drawn on a Chromebook and I chose to draw a pizza. Bunnies however was my LEAST FAVOURITE SESSION, You just basically drew patterns on a bunny.  Cartoon was a type of drawing where you draw characters in a goofy and humorous way. I drew Baby Groot from the Guardians of the Galaxy and This dude from YouTube (He is an animator) called GingerPale. Doing art was one of my favourite things on Term 1 and I hope I can do it again sometime.

Have you tried this before at your school?

Wonder Movie T-shirt

Hello reader. A few weeks ago we had to design t-shirts about kindness for the movie Wonder. Some people make designs on Chromebooks while others design on paper. First I decided to design mine on Chromebooks but then It was too hard for me. So I made mine on paper and It was easy. I made mine similar to those Keep Calm t-shirts. It turned out really fine. This is my design:

Swimming Blog

Hello I'm doing another one. We did swimming for two weeks. I can't remember what week was it but I had fun. The highlight of the swimming sessions was Water safety. It's where we wear life jackets because the water was deep.

Now the sessions.. So the first day of Water Safety was how we need to pencil jumped and swim to the end. One time we went on boats on the water and we learned how fall backwards. We would huddle together and yell "HELP!" on top of our lungs. The tutors flipped the boat upside-down and we had to go under the boat. Then in the last week of the water safety, we got to come in pyjamas over our swimming togs, I thought the water was deep but then I saw the height of the pool.. It was 1.3 metres. I was relieved but... It was so uncomfortable to swim because of the clothes. It was dragging me down and I was sinking. After we had done that we were practising rescuing people. So we grouped in pairs. I chose Jude to be my partner. One of us had to dive in and get pulled by a rope with a bag of water stuck to it and Jude will pull me with rope with a bag of water. After that we took all of our clothes and we were wearing the swimming togs. I think that was the end of the swimming sessions, I had so much fun learning about swimming.

Swimming sports

At Week 4 or 3, I don't really know. we travelled to Jellie Park for some swimming sports. The entire school went there. I chose to do width freestyle and backstroke. I was with Pacis, Max and Haaron.
So while I was waiting, I watched some races and then... I was called, For some reason Haaron didn't do it, I don't know why. I came 2nd or 3rd. Then after that we were called to do some backstroke but we didn't do it. Swimming sports was so fun and I had an amazing time there and also I ate sushi there.

PTT Blurb

This is a blurb about the journal Painting the Town.

Painting the town was a book all about the Christchurch street artwork in town. People do this because of the 2011 earthquakes, the people wanted to make the city more colourful and good-looking like they’re building a new city. There is a group called Gap Filler helped made art on temporary spaces like walls and roofs including the paintings of large murals. On December 2013, two public art events took place.

A project called From the Ground Up brought a group of New Zealand artists to Christchurch for a week of creativity on the streets; and a major street art festival called Rise opened. That month, artists from New Zealand, Australia, and Belgium painted fifteen artworks on city walls.

One of the first public artwork was made after the earthquakes is painted by Wayne Youle, the painting is called “I seem to have temporarily misplaced my sense of humour”. It is thirty-seven metres long. It is painted like a giant shadow board which is a gadget that organises a set of tool, But he didn’t painted just tools. You can find many different things like musical instruments, toys and animals too.

Another artist I will be talking about is Holly Ross, Along with her friend Olivia Laita. Together they painted “We Got The Sunshine” which is a brightly-coloured sentence over the wall near the Cardboard Cathedral on Madras Street. Holly says she wanted to do something that makes people extremely happy and very delighted.

Kaupeka PBL DIGI AWARDS

Last week We did the Digi Awards. I didn't win but I was fine.  I liked the winner's projects like Josh O'Connell. He was doing coding in Scratch which putting blocks on the scene and make them move. Overall It was a really good and fun time. This was my invitation, JUST READ IT.

Have you tried something like this before?
