PBL Main Artefact blog

Hello reader again, this will be my last blog of TERM 3... and today I will be talking about my main artefact which is a comic, I made this comic with my friend Jude and let's just say that "Please be inspired by this" because we worked really hard on it and wasted no time whatsoever. Jude and I used sketching (draw by pencil), inking and coloring. The story is about two people meet each other, they are Emily the human and Elijah the robot, they found out that robots are taking over jobs and they try to protest to the government but failed. Then they realise that humans and robots can work together so they did it and succeeded. This is the last blog of TERM 3, that is all for now, see you later.

PBL Planning blog

Hello reader again, Today I will be talking about my P.B.L (Project Based Learning) planning template document. So I wrote this planning template with Jude because our PBL question is 'How can we ensure the safety of humans along with their jobs and are not replaced by robots'. We are doing a comic for our PBL project and it is about two people meet and they found out that robots are taking over jobs. So they try to protest to the government but failed and then they realised what if they make humans and robots work together, so they did it and succeeded. R.E Advertisement blog

Hello reader again, today I will be talking to you about R.E advertisement. So today I had done my R.E advertisement, and that was a poster about CONFIRMATION. So the whole hub had to choose a sacrament and as you know I chose Confirmation, I chose confirmation because it is the next sacrament that I will participate and will occur. When I do confirmation, I will probably choose a saint like St Maximilian Kolbe because he is a great saint for me. But enough talking about it, I will show you now the poster that I made.

Science Investigation blog

Hello reader again, Today I will be talking about my science investigation/project with my friend Jude. So we made a question that was 'How do lava lamps work', and we made a poster about it. Then I made a simple lava lamp using these specific materials:

Large plastic soda bottle (with cap)

Vegetable or mineral oil 

Food coloring 

Effervescent tablets

I forgot the following instructions but the conclusion was that my dad and I put too much food coloring on my soda bottle and now the bottom is filled up by one big blob and everywhere else is covered in small particles. But I had fun doing it at home and I hope I can do it again. SO IN CONCLUSION, do science at home, It is fun. That's all for now, See you later.

Volunteering blog

Hello reader again, Today I will talking to you about volunteering. So the whole hub had to do a google form and you had to make three choices. It was 0800 Hungry/Food-bank, Graffiti removal and Curtain Bank. I choose them in this order, 0800 Hungry, Graffiti removal and Curtain Bank, I only did 0800 Hungry so far. I tell you about 0800 Hungry, So I was in a group and we travelled to a BUILDING and a person guided and helped us for the things we had to do. We had to store food and many more in boxes. Was it really fun for me?.. No it wasn't but I chose to do it because I wanted to help people in need even though it wasn't fun for me. SO in conclusion, try new things like this. Novel Study slide blog

Hello reader again, Today I will be talking about one of my slides in my Novel study slide. At first glance, it doesn't make sense to you or to me, so I will talk about the slide and my novel study. First of all, my novel is 'On Two Feet and Wings' and the slide, I will be talking about is the orientation. I just basically write just ONE paragraph on the slide. We had to do that because of the teachers and I really like reading (reading is involved in my hobbies blog so go check it out) so it turned out well. The paragraph might not make sense to other people because they have a different book than what I have. I will be showing you my slide.

Winter Sport blog

Hello reader again, Today I will talking about my Winter Sport Tournament. So I chose soccer for my sport to play and there was soccer trials for people that signed up for soccer like me. So I did the trials and I got into the THE B TEAM which was called the "St Francis of Assisi Falcons". It consisted of Me, Josh S, Jack, Jude, Joanna, Beccy, Xavier, Brent, Naiara, Ezra, Nicolaas, and William P. There was a total of fifteen games in the tournament. I do not know how many we won and lose, but it doesn't matter because we won our last game and was placed 3rd in the leader board of the soccer games. Winter Sport was a great experience for me and I would do that again. So in conclusion, Play sports, IT IS GOOD FOR YOU. That's all for now, See you later.

Narrative story blog

Hello reader again, today I will be talking about my narrative story. The title of my narrative is called "Apocalypse" but I am still working on my title. The epic story is about two dudes Nathan and a robot called Melvin saving the world from evil robots taking over our jobs and replacing humans. I will be showing you my actual narrative story right now.
So here it is:

Apocalypse

In the distant future there was an optimistic and gentle robot named Melvin and a boy called Nathan... Nathan and Melvin found each other on a junkyard, Nathan was looking for some metal to fix something and when he was digging through some materials. He had found a robot with no electricity to power up itself, no hope and no life. So he carried it back into his house and renovated Melvin. That was the backstory of them finding each other. 

The duo was watching the news because they were bored and didn’t know what they can do to restore their happiness and enthusiasm. But one news reporter said that there was a lot of jobs being taken over by robots (except Melvin). Jobs like farming and fast food workers and they thought ‘Why are robots programmed to take over jobs and who would do that’. But they didn’t know what to do, they kept thinking and thinking but nothing was coming into mind. The next day was boring until they thought ‘Why can’t they just tell and protest to the government about the jobs being non-existent and were taken over by robots’. So they did.. Until the government told the investigators to come with them and it turns out the investigators were robots and they were pursuing them. The duo are now classified as fugitives, wanted and also wrongly accused because the robots lied to the government. 

Amazingly, Nathan and Melvin hid in some abandoned apartment building and thoughts were racing through their minds. ‘Why are robots disguised as humans and are working for the government’, ‘What if the government is programming every robot to take over EVERY job’. Finally they stop hyperventilating and was calming down and then they started thinking, in their own insane but imaginative and creative minds.. They are going to save the world from sinister robots, and no they aren’t trying to copy superheroes like Batman or Iron Man. They are REAL superheroes (well they are becoming one). So what did they do? They are equipping some WEAPONS  like a real katana that they got in some trip to Japan, a big mallet along with an extra weapon called the flamethrower and YES they are insane.

They were ready, and also they bought a trolley with them so they can carry other equipment.

The ‘dynamic duo’ started walking to a nearby Burger King restaurant, and obviously a group of robots serving the life of mankind was there.  So they needed some kind of STRATEGY in order to kill the robots without the men seeing the metal and thermoelectric generators on the floor. They started off by ordering a Fanta drink and a Whopper burger, then they PURPOSELY spilt the fanta and the delicious burger that was SUPPOSED to be consumed. Then one of the janitor robots helped them clean it up. But then when no one is looking at them, they headlocked the robot and took him outside. Then they… ‘CTRL + X’ the robot with the violent mallet.  After that epic fight without any witnesses, they killed all of them one by one.

The pair then went travelling to a faraway prison, There they saw a lot of prisoners such as muscular men and even Weird Al Yankovic was there for some reason. Surprisingly no robot or AIs was there. So the pair searched deeper and deeper and deeper, when one robot was at an office. They got their weapons out and started yelling and chasing it like some kind of movie fight. But then the robot saw them from its  peripheral vision and amazingly kicked Melvin and Melvin flew out of the scene. It turns out that the robot had athletic skills and reflexes and was programmed to fight and pursue criminals. The robot thinks that Nathan and Melvin are criminals. But Nathan was a huge anime fan and a weeaboo , He watched a lot of anime shows like Bleach and One Piece. So he started pretending he was one of the characters in One Piece called Roronoa Zoro. “1080 Pound Phoenix!” he yelled and he threw a kunai which was not epic than the actual attack in One Piece. However it stabbed the robot in the eye and the robot started panicking. Then he switched characters with Ichigo Kurosaki in Bleach and he called out “This is the Final Getsuga Tenshou”  and he sprinted to the A.I and sliced the robot in half with immense power.

Melvin recovered and Nathan told Melvin about the epic anime fight. But they thought killing robots didn’t even made people realise about the jobs being taken over. So they traveled back home and were pondering what they can do to stop this chaos and bring back the unemployed people that were replaced by accurate but lame robots and getting their jobs back. The twosome then thought what if we can gather a lot of people and protest to the government. So they gathered and assembled a lot of people near the government building and yelled and protested. This kept on happening for 5 days and gradually along with eventually, the government surrendered and all of the men and women got their jobs back.  Oh also Nathan and Melvin were dubbed on the internet “Future Adapters”, awarded knighthood and National Heroes. Melvin did not die from the government and is still active.
